Yesterday's sermon, which I turned into a blog post with accompanying audio, video, and notes:
https://www.scottlapierre.org/the-parable-of-the-persistent-widow/
The Parable of the Persistent Widow and the Unjust Judge in Luke 18:1-8 is commonly misunderstood. The wrong interpretation is, “Be persistent in prayer until God gives you what you want.” The correct interpretation is if an unjust judge can be persuaded to give justice to a woman he has no regard for, then how much more will God, who is just, give justice to his elect whom he loves.

Sunday's sermon turned into a blog post with audio and video:
https://www.scottlapierre.org/jesus-new-covenant-at-the-last-supper/
Jesus instituted the New Covenant at the Last Supper, fulfilling God’s promise in Jeremiah 31:31-34. Learn how Christ’s words, “This is My body… This is the new covenant in My blood,” revealed the redemptive purpose of His death and forever changed how we understand communion. From the blood of the Old Covenant in Exodus to Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross, understand the deep spiritual meaning behind the bread and the cup and how they point to our salvation and eternal hope. If you’re a believer, whether you’ve taken communion for years or are learning about it for the first time, I hope this helps you remember and rejoice in Christ’s love for you.

This past Sunday School teaching turned into a blog post with audio:
https://www.scottlapierre.org/who-are-the-two-witnesses-in-revelation-11/
If you’ve ever read through the book of Revelation, you’ve probably ended your reading with more questions than answers. In Revelation 11, we find one of those questions Bible scholars and Bible readers have wrestled with for centuries: Who are the two witnesses in Revelation 11? They are powerful, devoted to Christ, persecuted, and yet unnamed.
But as always, the Old and New Testaments offer context and clues that provide a plausible answer and, more importantly, help us “hear and keep” the prophecy written in Revelation (see Revelation 1:3).
