In the parable of the minas the servants have been “entrusted with the gospel” (1 Thessalonians 2:4). To be a faithful steward we must preach the gospel so that the mina multiplies. The servants are told they will be “over cities,” (Luke 19:17, 19) which means ruling with Christ during the Millennium.

Delayed obedience often disguises itself as “not the right time.”
The Jews in Haggai’s day did not oppose rebuilding God’s house. They simply postponed it while other responsibilities took priority. What seemed temporary became sixteen years of neglect.

The Jews stopped rebuilding the temple "temporarily." It lasted 16 years.
