The Jews misunderstood Old Testament prophecies of Jesus’ Coming. The Old Testament compressed prophecies of Jesus’ first and second coming, leading the Jews to believe all the prophecies would be fulfilled in one coming.

How does the Old Testament point to Jesus?
In Luke 24:27, Jesus began with Moses and all the Prophets and showed the disciples “in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.”
The cross was not the defeat of the Messiah. It was His mission.
