The Cory Lee Show interviewed me:
"Welcome back to The Cory Lee Show! Today, we're sitting down with Scott LaPierre.
In this podcast episode my guest Scott LaPierre and I discuss leadership in the home. One of his statements that stood out to me the most is a question often asked in fatherhood circles:
"But I would be a hypocrite if I talk to my boys about purity when I'm not being pure. So we're only being hypocrites if we're holding our children to a standard that we don't presently hold."
We have to be examples ourselves. Scott also gives some great advice on we are not called to be perfect parents but we are supposed to be present.
Scott is a former Army officer, teacher, and coach who now is a conference speaker and pastor. I know his testimony is sure to stir your spirit. From his early days in Northern California to an abrupt awakening by the sudden loss of his brother, Scott's path has been anything but ordinary.
He takes us through the pivotal moments of his life, where his encounter with The Gospel shifted his entire world view, leading him from a successful teaching and coaching career to the purpose-driven life of a pastor in Washington. As a father of ten, Scott has unique insights on the significance of spiritual leadership within the home.
Here are a few of the topics we discuss:

✨ The Transformative Power of Scripture
🛡️ Parenting and Spiritual Mentorship
🔥 Parenting Standards and Hypocrisy"

When Jesus died, the temple veil was torn in two. Why does that matter?
Because the torn veil showed that Christ opened the way for sinners to come to God. What had once been closed under the Old Covenant was opened through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross.
In this sermon, I explain what the veil represented, why access to God was restricted in the Old Testament, and what Luke 23:45 teaches us about the gospel.
