Sunday's sermon, which I turned into a blog post with accompanying audio, video, and notes:
https://www.scottlapierre.org/blessed-are-those-whose-sins-are-covered/
God took away Adam and Eve’s fig leaves and clothed them himself. He stopped them from covering themselves, and he covered them. This is a physical picture of a spiritual reality. God doesn’t want us to cover our sins. He wants to cover our sins for us. In Psalm 32:1 David wrote, “Blessed are those whose sins are covered.” We can’t cover our sins. When we try, we fail. We still see our sin. It is always before us. But when we confess our sin, and God covers it, it is hidden from sight, never to be seen again.

https://www.scottlapierre.org/we-obey-what-we-fear/
Do you know what truly shapes our obedience? Our actions are governed by what we fear. Drawing from the timeless examples of Abraham, the Hebrew midwives, Pharaoh, Saul, and even the religious leaders, we learn that obedience to God flows from a genuine fear of Him—and not from our fear of man. Why? because we obey what we fear.

The Rev RX podcast interviewed me about Abraham and Isaac:
“What if one of the most dramatic stories in the Bible was actually a signpost pointing to something even greater? The story of Abraham and Isaac isn't just about faith- it's a powerful foreshadowing of God's ultimate love through Jesus.
In this episode, I sit down with Pastor and Author Scott LaPierre to explore the Biblical symbolism of Abraham and Isaac, uncovering how this event mirrors God's greatest act of love- the sacrifice of His Son on the cross.
If you've ever wondered how the Old Testament connects to Jesus or needed a fresh reminder of God's deep, sacrificial love for you - this episode is for you!”
