Work and Rest God's Way five-out-of-five stars review:

https://readersfavorite.com/book-review/work-and-rest-gods-way

"Work and Rest God's Way is a refreshing reminder that work is biblical, created, and ordained by God. The book opens the reader's eyes to the benefits of work, both spiritually and physically. It emphasizes the detriments of laziness from a spiritual standpoint. The book incorporates many godly, biblical principles and parables that encompass the essence of God’s design of work and the satisfaction that follows. Author Scott LaPierre does a phenomenal job of incorporating real-life experience drawn from being a former army officer, elementary school teacher, father of nine, husband, and ministry leader. The way he pastors through his writing in addition to providing real-life experience is an equal balance that delights readers.

Many scripture references in addition to valuable parables are incorporated into his writing to support the point that work is biblical, can be healthy, and even enjoyable when approached through the lens of God’s original design. Scott LaPierre leaves the reader feeling encouraged and ready to conquer daily tasks with enthusiasm, a sense of diligence, and a “working for the Lord” mindset. Rest is also a major component and theme of the book. Without rest, the amount of time spent working is left unchecked and can be damaging to one’s health spiritually, familially, mentally, and physically. On the seventh day, God rested. LaPierre incorporates practical ways to weave rest into one’s life. Work and Rest God’s Way is a literary treatise that unfolds the essence of what it means to have a healthy work and rest life balance from a biblical perspective."

In Luke 24:28–35, the disciples’ eyes were opened, and they recognized the risen Christ.

Then they said, “Did not our hearts burn within us…while he opened to us the Scriptures?” Luke 24:32

How does the Old Testament point to Jesus?

How does the Old Testament point to Jesus?

In Luke 24:27, Jesus began with Moses and all the Prophets and showed the disciples “in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.”

The cross was not the defeat of the Messiah. It was His mission.
