The way he pastors through his writing in addition to providing real-life experience is an equal balance that delights readers.

Many scripture references in addition to valuable parables are incorporated into his writing to support the point that work is biblical, can be healthy, and even enjoyable when approached through the lens of God’s original design. Scott LaPierre leaves the reader feeling encouraged and ready to conquer daily tasks with enthusiasm, a sense of diligence, and a “working for the Lord” mindset. Rest is also a major component and theme of the book. Without rest, the amount of time spent working is left unchecked and can be damaging to one’s health spiritually, familially, mentally, and physically. On the seventh day, God rested.
