How can our sins be forgiven?
The natural answer is, “I must do something to make up for what I have done.” But Jesus did not send His disciples to preach penance, religious works, or self-punishment.
He sent them to preach repentance for the forgiveness of sins in His name.
Forgiveness is found in Christ, not in trying to pay for sin ourselves.

The disciples had heard that Jesus was risen, but when He stood among them, they were startled and afraid. Jesus graciously handled their doubt by showing them His hands and feet, inviting them to touch Him, and eating in front of them.
The resurrection was not a symbol, feeling, vision, or metaphor. Jesus was physically, bodily, and permanently raised from the dead.
